To Split Rows in a CSV File

  • Using Rons Data Edit, open or import the CSV file.
  • Go to the 'Row/Split' menu.
  • Apply the appropriate settings:
    • Select the rows to be split or select All rows.
    • Select appropriate column.
    • Indicate where it must be split on the 'Split on' section.
    • Indicate if the new row must keep the source info or not.
  • Click on 'Split'.
  • Save the file.

To split Columns in a CSV File

  • Using Rons Data Edit, open or import the CSV file.
  • Go to the 'Column/Split' menu.
  • Apply the appropriate settings:
    • Select the Source Column to be split.
    • Indicate where it must be split on the 'Split on' section.
    • Choose to skip Empty Values or not.
    • Transfer Target columns (one or more according to number of splits) to new or existing columns.
    • Indicate where the overflow will show (last split section) either to a new or an existing column.
  • Click on 'Split'.
  • Save the file.
